imo, Dmp forum is easy to use. Paradox isnt. Heman has mentioned me in a thread at paradox, and thats good enough for me. if they want to, they will come. Anyway, we could certainly use some action in the english forum here at DMP.

btw, i test all my work on a widescreen, and so have no idea what the icons look like on a normal screen, and so i imagine that they look like shite for any poor guy\girl that has such a device.

Sprites are nothing more than 8 -16 Bmp collected together, showing the phases of one animation.
Like a flipbook. The .spr could be done by me - or something other.
I like your buildings - so whould you try?
A firering Bunker or Trenchline, perhaps.
Soldiers on guard ( Stand.bmp - 1 Set of animation ) and being attackecd a firing bunker (one animation for every direction)?

we can configure the position of sprite manually by the .spr file.
So i thinkpositioning the frames in the centre is the best way to test.
make one .bmp and i will do the .spr.

A couple thoughts. One, when a cannon or rifle is firing, the area around the blast should lighten up some, or there should be reflections
this seems to me to be a difficult thing to do right, as the color differences are so slight, angles and shading can easily get lost, or other details can be blocked out entirely. At this point, I wont even go into how a grenade blast should|might work?
Two. When the garrison is being attacked, will the direction of the attack matter, ie., should the sprite always hold the same N-S position, or should its position change, according to which direction attack is coming from?
in the #2 sample, there is a soldier on roof about to throw a grenade. I see animating this soldiers movements as a GIANT headache! Arghh...
Three. How should the sequence of firing work? in a series of 12frames, 8, 4, or what? If thats unclear, should all twelve frames be different, slightly?
